Angus Fedoruk, AFNI, Chair of the BC Branch of The Nautical Institute conducted a presentation to a class of junior Officers in the Royal Canadian Navy, describing The Nautical Institute. The pillars of the navigation/deck Officers of the Royal Canadian Navy are Leader, Manager, Mariner, and Warrior. The presentation emphasized the common areas of the first three pillars, with a strong focus on Mariner – highlighting that the maritime domain has aspects that tie all mariners together.
